If the orginal Metroid, you can open a doo and stand where it respawns. Then you press down up down up over and over super-fast. You'll jump through the door, through blocks above it, and you might just come across a "Secret World". If you don't press up fast enough, you'll be stuck in maru mari.

Bomb tecneque

go into morph ball, tap the bomb button once,... and alittle before you bounce tap it again, when landing on the second bomb you let off tap it again. You'll bounce off your bomb keep doing this each time you land on your bomb tap bomb ect ect ect and you can play hacky with Samus.

Complete the game and load up the same file or start a new one with the same file, every area you are in (eg Brinstar, Chozodia, Crateria...) Press START and look at your map, at the top left corner, there will be 3 icons, it will tell you how many there is and how many you got in that area, if you get all of the Energy Tanks in the Area, there will be a yellow tick next to the symbol on the map

This trick also works in Metroid : Fusion!

No suit in original metroid with lots of power ups

when you beat easy mode, you unlock the original metroid for nes. Go to options and select "original metroid" then the screen comes up. Select "continue" and for a password put JUSTIN BAILEY ------ ------. You must put dashes after bailey or it wont work.

Power bombs

Stumped where they are? When in the Space Pirate Ship after getting your Gravity Suit with all the power-ups, get to the cockpit area with the glass parts infront of the corrider leading to Mecha Ridley, go to the very bottom window thing and get as close as you can, you sould fall down a hole, go along and bomb the blocks and follow the Space Pirate holding the Bombs, go through and either go through the security lasers or space jump over them, you will get 2 Power bombs, go to the room on the right and use a Power Bomb, the roof will dissappear, space jump your way up and there will be a Power Bomb tank

The Secret Speed Booster Shoulder Barge can be done in this game as well on Metroid Fusion

1) Avtivate Speed Booster
2) Crouch
3) Press and direction and the A button at EXACT same time
4) Samus will shot off in a Wario style Shoulder Barge

SECRET : This also works if you crouch into the Morph Ball and do this, it has the same affect as using those Bomb slots where you fly up and glow red with fire
