At the end of the level, you collect cards, As you will know.

3-Stars = 5UP
3-Flowers = 3UP
3-Shrooms = 2UP
3-Random = 1UP

You can get three stars easy on a level you know.Because the nintendo can not process off screen, it can not process the end part of the level (black area with card) when it's off screen.
So, a bit before it comes into view, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! and then jump at the bottom left of the card square from a short distance, if you do this at every level, you should keep getting stars. And 3 stars means 5UP!

Straight to world 8

in level 1-3 At the end of the level ther a bunch of boxes with screws in the corners. Go on top of the white one and hold down. Eventually you will fall through. Go right to the end of the level. You will enter a room with one box. in it is a whistle. take it.

Then go to the castle in world one. At the end of the first room (where the green skeleton turtle is. Fly up above the cieling on the right until you land. Keep on going right until you can't go up any further. Hit up. You will be in a room with a single box. open the box. In it is another whistle.

Use the first whistle to go to warp zone. Then while you are still in warp zone use the second whistle go to 8.

World 2 Whistle

There is also a whistle in World 2 if you want to get it. In the far upper right corner of the world (the same section where you can see the castle), use a hammer to bust the rock. A creature (one of the ones you defeat to get a star or mushroom) is back there as well as the whistle.

Whistles

on the first world level go to level 3 and near the end of the stage look for a white block hold down for 3 to 5 sec. and u will drop into the backround and then run all the wats to the end. u will be transported to a cest box and inside u will find a whistle that warps u to stage 2 3 or 4. the next whistle is in the first castle u have to have the tail to fly up on to where the door is and keep flying up there and u will be transported to another room in the level. u will see the wistle drop and u will have a whistle. the best way to try and get to the last level is to use the first witsle go to level 4 then in level 4 use the wistle to get to level 7 then u have one level left and thats level 8. there u go the whistle cheat

Whistles part 2

After following the directions of the first whistles cheat to get the two whistles, use the first whistle to get to the island where you can see all of the levels that you can go to. Do not select to go to any level, just use your second whistle right there on that island and it will take you immediately to level 8.

For unlimited lives

Go to world 4 and go to lvel 6 and press pause & press A B A UP LEFT UP A A B
then beat the floating boat and when u get to world 5 lvel 7 beat it with a score
that is a multiple of 5 and after that beat the game ( without the whistles)after that then when u play again then you will have unlimited lives

Yoshi glitch

Getting the Anchor

The anchor can only be obtained (as far as I know) from a White Mushroom. The only White Mushroom I know how to make appear is in World 2. In the second stage (I believe, the one w/ some water), be sure to get every single coin. This also includes the coins from stepping on the "P" block. At the completion of the level, the White Mushroom will appear. The anchor will stop the ship the enemy of each world uses from moving around. This way, you won't have to finish any unbeaten levels to get to the ship as it moves around the world.

White Mushroom houses

If you collect above a certain number of coins in certain levels then you can make a White Mushroom House appear on the map. These contain a P-Wing on all odd-number worlds, and an Anchor on all even-number worlds.

Stage 1-4: 44 coins
Stage 2-2: 30 coins
Stage 3-8: 44 coins
Stage 4-2: 22 coins
Stage 5-5: 28 coins
Stage 6-7: 78 coins
Stage 7-2: 46 coins
